Police bust largest ever drug trafficking ring from Germany to Vietnam
VOV.VN - The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department said on July 1 that they had smashed a major drug trafficking ring operating from Germany to Vietnam, seizing approximately 179kg of the synthetic drug – the largest ever seizure of its kind via air transport.
The police launched an investigation into a ring smuggling Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) from Germany into Vietnam through Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on May 30.
Following a further investigation, on June 4 the police arrested four suspects involved in the ring and confiscated approximately 179kg of the synthetic drug commonly known as ecstasy.
The case is currently under further investigation.
