Thanh Hoa reinters 21 remains of war martyrs repatriated from Laos

VOV.VN - The administration of Thanh Hoa province on May 27 held a ceremony to rebury 21 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during their noble international missions in Laos in the past.

The remains of 21 martyrs were collected and repatriated during the 2024-2025 dry season in Laos' Houaphanh province by the Thanh Hoa provincial Military Command.

At the ceremony, delegates solemnly offered flowers and incense in commemoration of the martyrs, showing respect for their heroic sacrifice in the noble spirit of international duty and for the revolutionary cause of the homeland.

Delivering the eulogy, Dau Thanh Tung, vice chairman of the Thanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices made by the martyrs in the name of national defence and their noble service abroad.

After the memorial service, their remains were laid to rest at the Dong Tam Martyrs' Cemetery in Ba Thuoc district.
