Nghe An reinters 76 remains of war martyrs repatriated from Laos
VOV.VN - The administration of Nghe An province on May 20 held a ceremony to rebury 76 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during their noble international missions in Laos in the past.

Among them, 66 were collected in Xieng Khouang province, whilst 8 and 2 remains were found in Xaysomboun and Vientiane provinces respectively.
All the martyrs' remains were found at a depth of more than 1m underground, along with boxes of AK ammunition, M04 gas masks, and shirt buttons.
Delivering the eulogy at the ceremony, Phung Thanh Vinh, vice chairman of the Nghe An provincial People’s Committee, expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices made by the martyrs in the name of national defence and their noble service abroad.
Over the past 40 years, the special working committees of the two governments, together with Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defence, Military Region 4 Command and Nghe An Province, have located and repatriated a total of 12,740 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts from Laos.
