Man arrested for smuggling 6,000 synthetic drugs from Laos into Vietnam
VOV.VN - Na Ngoi Border Guard Station in central Nghe An province have apprehended 40-year-old Xai Khu Ly from Laos' Xiangkhouang province for illegally transporting 6,000 synthetic pills from Laos into Vietnam for sale, the unit reported on September 16.
Earlier, on September 14, the border guard force caught Xai Khu Ly in the act of smuggling the drugs across the border. Seized evidence included 6,000 pink synthetic pills and related items.
Initial interrogation indicated that he intended to sell the drugs for profit. The Nghe An Border Guard Command is directing further investigation, evidence consolidation, and legal proceedings against him.
