Interpol-wanted suspect arrested at Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport
VOV.VN - Vietnamese authorities have arrested an internationally wanted suspect at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi after she was detected upon arrival.
According to Ninh Binh Provincial Police, Tran Thi Hoai Nam, 26, was apprehended in coordination with the Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security and airport police forces.
She was wanted internationally on charges of “organising illegal drug use” under a warrant issued by the provincial police investigation agency.
After committing the alleged offence, she fled Vietnam and remained at large, frequently changing locations to evade capture, authorities said.
Law enforcement agencies recently identified her presence at Noi Bai International Airport and swiftly carried out an arrest operation, ensuring security and safety at the airport without incident.
The suspect has since been transferred to relevant agencies of Ninh Binh for further investigation and legal proceedings in accordance with Vietnamese law.
