Four Vietnamese found dead in Taiwan apartment
VOV.VN - Four Vietnamese have been found dead in a rental apartment in Taoyuan City, Taiwan (China), according to local media sources.

The incident was discovered on May 3 evening by the police after the victims’ friends reported they could not contact them for several days.
At the scene, the police found four Vietnamese citizens, including two men, dead in a locked apartment. At the time of discovery, the water heater in the bathroom was still operating.
After examining the scene, police found no signs of struggle or forced entry, and no property was missing.
The initial cause is believed to be carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning - a colourless, odorless gas commonly produced when gas-powered water heaters are used in enclosed, poorly ventilated spaces.
Authorities are conducting forensic examinations, reviewing surveillance camera footage, and expanding the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
The Department of Overseas Labour (DOLAB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed the news on May 6, adding three of the four victims were from Bo Trach district of Quang Binh province.
Local authorities said three of the victims were migrant workers, and the remaining victim was a student.
To ensure the legal rights and interests of the workers, the Department of Overseas Labour has requested labour dispatch companies to inform, express condolences, and offer support to the families of the deceased workers.
These companies were required to closely coordinate with their Taiwanese partners and relevant authorities to assist the victims’ families in either traveling to Taiwan or authorising the companies to handle posthumous matters, including the repatriation of the workers’ remains and belongings in accordance with the families’ wishes and legal regulations.
