Tragic house fire kills family of four in Tien Giang

VOV.VN - Four members of the same family, including two children, were killed after a house fire broke out in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang in the early hours of April 10.

The fire started at around 1 a.m. at a house on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Ward 4, My Tho City, owned by Huynh Thi Thuy Tien. According to initial reports, the blaze quickly engulfed the entire building within minutes.

When the fire was finally extinguished, relevant agencies found that four people who had been sleeping inside the house had tragically lost their lives. The blaze also destroyed all of the ill-fated family's property.

Firefighters faced plenty of difficulties in accessing the scene as the house was located in a narrow alley with no rear exit.

On the morning of April 10, leaders of the My Tho City People’s Committee and relevant provincial authorities came to the scene to offer condolences and support to the victims’ families. They also conducted a site inspection and autopsy to help determine the cause of the tragic fire.
