COVID-19: Three more imported cases confirmed on Dec. 15
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Ministry of Health on Dec. 15 confirmed three more imported cases of the coronavirus, bringing the country’s tally of COVID-19 infections to 1,405.
The three patients, including a 73-year-old man, are Vietnamese citizens who boarded VietJet Air and Vietnam Airlines flights from Myanmar and the United States to Vietnam from Dec. 6-12.
They were isolated as soon as they landed in Vietnam, and all tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus on Dec. 14 while staying in the quarantine facilities.
The Ministry of Health assured that the new patients could not pose any threat to the community as they were transferred to quarantine facilities upon their arrival at airports in Vietnam.
The patients are now receiving treatment at health facilities in Quang Nam and Bac Lieu provinces.
Vietnam has so far recorded a total of 1,405 COVID-19 cases, including 708 imported cases.
The country has brought the resurgence of the virus under control after detecting four locally transmitted cases in late November.
