In Hanoi, light rain is expected from early February 17 through February 19, with nighttime temperatures dropping to between 17 and 19°C. Cold conditions are likely to persist into the night and early morning hours.
Looking further into the holiday period lasting till February 22, northern Vietnam may continue to see light rain and scattered drizzle, accompanied by morning fog and mist, particularly in mountainous areas. Localities from Thanh Hoa to Hue are set to experience rain and scattered showers through February 20, with colder nights in Thanh Hoa during the first half of the period.
Meanwhile, south-central coastal areas will see mostly sunny days, though northern parts from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa may experience intermittent showers and isolated thunderstorms in the early part of the holiday.
