According to the resolution on the Government structure for the 15th National Assembly term: 467 deputies participated in the vote (97.7% of the total NA deputies), with 465 deputies in favor (97.28% of the total). As for the resolution on the number of Government members for the 15th National Assembly term: 445 deputies cast their votes (93.1% of the total NA members), with 444 in favor (92.89% of the total); one deputy did not vote (0.21%).

Resolution No.176 outlines that the Government structure for the 15th National Assembly term will consist of 14 ministries and 3 ministerial-level agencies.

Specifically, the ministries are: Ministry of National Defence; Ministry of Public Security; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Home Affairs; Ministry of Justice; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Industry and Trade; Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; Ministry of Construction; Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Ministry of Science and Technology; Ministry of Education and Training; Ministry of Health; Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs; the State Bank of Vietnam; the Government Inspectorate; and the Government Office.

This resolution takes effect immediately upon approval by the National Assembly and replaces Resolution No. 08 dated July 23, 2021, on the Government structure for the 15th National Assembly term. The ministries and ministerial-level agencies specified in Article 1 of this resolution will officially begin operations on March 1, 2025.

The ministries and ministerial-level agencies under the structure of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term, as set forth in Resolution No. 08, will continue to operate until February 28, 2025.

According to Resolution No.177, the number of Government members for the 15th National Assembly term will include 25 members:

Prime Minister of the Government;

7 Deputy Prime Ministers;

14 Ministers: Ministry of National Defence; Ministry of Public Security; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Home Affairs; Ministry of Justice; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Industry and Trade; Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; Ministry of Construction; Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Ministry of Science and Technology; Ministry of Education and Training; Ministry of Health; Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs.

Three heads of ministerial-level agencies: Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Chief Inspector of the Government Inspectorate; Minister and Head of the Government Office.

Resolution No.177 takes effect immediately upon approval by the NA. Resolution No. 20 dated July 28, 2021, regarding the number of cabinet members for the 15th NA term and Resolution No. 143 dated August 26, 2024, on adding Deputy Prime Ministers for the 15th National Assembly term, will be invalidated from the date this new resolution comes into effect.
