PM urges faster, more effective implementation of Party resolution
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on February 4 urged ministries and localities to move faster and act more effectively to turn the recent 14th National Party Congress’s Resolution into concrete results.
“Policies may be correct, but they must be implemented quickly and effectively,” Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh told a government meeting with provincial leaders, stressing the need to translate the Congress’s resolution into real-world impact.
The meeting, held in Hanoi and connected online to all 34 provinces and cities, reviewed socio-economic conditions in January and priorities for February and beyond.
The PM said 2026 opens amid fast-changing and complex global conditions, including geopolitical tensions, escalating conflicts in several regions, trade frictions, slowing growth, rising debt in many economies and volatile gold prices.
Domestically, he said the Party Congress has set out breakthrough goals and tasks for a new development phase, requiring an “unstoppable” working spirit from the first days and months of the year to sustain growth momentum.
The Prime Minister asked participants to assess macroeconomic stability, monetary and fiscal policy management, energy, food and fuel security, and the ability to ensure sufficient electricity supply for production and business in 2026 and subsequent years.
He also called for closer scrutiny of public investment allocation and disbursement, progress under three national target programmes, and the implementation of 10 thematic resolutions of the Politburo.
On social welfare, the Government leader highlighted efforts to overcome storm and flood damage, prepare support for low-income households, and step up the fight against smuggling, counterfeit and substandard goods.
