VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam and other Party and State officials visited the Hung Kings Temple Historical Site in Viet Tri city of Phu Tho province on February 5, to offer incense in commemoration of the Hung Kings - the founders of the Vietnamese nation.
In the solemn atmosphere at Kinh Thien Temple on Nghia Linh Mountain, the General Secretary and the delegates expressed their respect and gratitude to the ancestors, praying for national peace, prosperity, and happiness for the people.
They pledged to carry on Vietnam’s age-old tradition, enhance their knowledge and capacity, and work together to effectively implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, while preparing for the 14th National Party Congress.
To Lam emphasized the goal of building a streamlined and efficient government apparatus to lead the country into a new and promising era.
Following the incense offering, General Secretary To Lam laid flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Relief depicting President Ho’s speech to officers and soldiers of the Vanguard Division at Gieng Temple.
On September 19, 1954, President Ho visited the Hung Kings Temple where he instructed the officers and soldiers: “The Hung Kings founded the nation; you and I must work together to protect it.” His teachings have become a guiding principle, symbolizing the spirit of unity and determination to build and defend the country.
The same day, the Party leader met with leaders of Phu Tho to extend Lunar New Year wishes to the Party Committee, authorities, and people of the province.
After reviewing the province’s socio-economic achievements in 2024, To Lam praised local efforts, particularly the swift recovery from Typhoon Yagi and the restoration of production and livelihoods.
He expressed his belief that in 2025, Phu Tho would continue to promote unity and maintain double-digit growth. He urged the locality to mobilize resources, resolve bottlenecks, and improve transportation infrastructure to enhance regional connectivity and drive development.
The Party chief also called on the province to prepare thoroughly for the Party Congress at all levels, aiming for the success of the 14th National Party Congress.
