President Luong Cuong commemorates President Ho Chi Minh on Lunar New Year’s Day

President Ho Chi Minh is remembered as a genius leader of the Vietnamese revolution, an extraordinary national hero, an eminent international figure, and the founder and leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who dedicated his entire life to the nation, the people, the ideals of communism, as well as global peace and justice.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere marking the beginning of the new year, Cuong respectfully lit incense to honor the late president’s immense contributions and vowed to continue striving alongside the entire Party and people to promote national unity and development aspirations to lead to Vietnam into a new era of prosperity and strength.

Following the tribute, Cuong visited Ho Chi Minh’s fish pond within the relic site and toured the exhibition showcasing three automobiles used to serve President Ho Chi Minh from 1954 to 1969.

While extending Lunar New Year wishes to official and staff at the site, the President emphasized the site’s vital role and urged continued dedication to preserving Ho Chi Minh’s invaluable documents and artifacts, to ensure they remain an eternal spiritual asset for present and future generations.

The site should continue to be a sacred address that conveys Ho Chi Minh’s historical values, ideology, ethics, and lifestyle not only to the Vietnamese people but also to friends worldwide, he stressed.

More than half a century has passed, yet his legacy remains deeply embedded within the nationally significant Ho Chi Minh Relic Complex at the Presidential Palace. The historical landmarks, documents, and artifacts there serve as vivid, authentic testaments to his life, career, ideology, ethics, and lifestyle.
