Over 17 million citizens give opinions on Constitutional amendments via VNeID

VOV.VN - The number of Vietnamese citizens giving opinions on the proposed amendments to the 2013 Constitution via the VNeID app has increased significantly in recent days, amounting to more than 17,100,000 as of May 26, according to the Ministry of Justice.

This is considered a vital political task by the Ministry of Justice, which has taken urgent steps to carry out public consultation in accordance with the roadmap for constitutional amendments.

The Ministry of Public Security and local authorities are actively promoting and guiding the public on how to submit their feedback using the app to ensure a fast, accessible, and effective process.

The National Assembly has decided to review and amend certain provisions of the 2013 Constitution to support the streamlining and reorganisation of the political system’s structure.

The amendments focus on important areas related to the Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organisations; regulations implementing the two-tier local government model; and transitional provisions to ensure the smooth operation of local governments, in line with the roadmap for reorganising and merging administrative units at the provincial and commune levels, without organising the district level.

The public consultation period via the VNeID app is set to run from May 6 to May 30, 2025. After the deadline, all feedback will be collected and reported to the Ministry of Justice to be included in the official government report.
