President Luong Cuong concludes state visit to Laos
VOV.VN - President Luong Cuong returned to Hanoi on April 25 evening, successfully concluding a state visit to Laos at the invitation of Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith.

This is Cuong’s first working trip to Laos in his capacity as President of Vietnam, which reaffirms both sides’ commitment to further strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation in today’s context, in alignment with each country’s situation.
During his two-day stay, Cuong held talks with Sisoulith and met with other senior Lao leaders, including National Assembly President Saysomphone Phomvihane and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone. He also met with representatives of Vietnamese associations, entrepreneurs, intellectuals, and the Vietnamese community in Laos.
A highlight of the visit was the two presidents’ participation in a special friendship exchange in Vientiane on April 25, attended by numerous war veterans, former Lao students who studied in Vietnam, and Vietnamese students currently studying in Laos.
During the talks and meetings, the two sides agreed on major orientations to develop bilateral ties further, by maintaining regular visit exchanges to strengthen trust-based political relations; and promoting people-to-people exchanges through diverse and flexible forms of cooperation.
The leaders emphasised that this visit represents a significant milestone, further deepening the unique bond between the two Parties, States, and peoples - a relationship described as one of a kind in the world.
