Congratulations on 71st anniversary of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party
VOV.VN - Vietnam has extended its congratulations to the Lao People's Revolutionary Party on its 71st founding anniversary (March 22, 1955 – 2026), reaffirming the enduring solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam on March 20 led a delegation to convey congratulatory messages from the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee to its Lao counterpart, along with floral tributes from senior Vietnamese leaders to the Lao Party and State leadership.
Tam highlighted that over the past 71 years, the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party has led the Lao people to record historic and comprehensive achievements, from national liberation to the ongoing cause of national protection and development. These achievements, he noted, serve as a strong source of encouragement for the Party, State and people of Vietnam.
Reaffirming Vietnam’s consistent stance, the ambassador stressed that Vietnam will continue to stand side by side with Laos in its national construction efforts, supporting the country’s path toward peace, independence, democracy, unity and prosperity.
He also expressed satisfaction with the deepening Vietnam–Laos relationship, describing it as increasingly substantive and effective across all fields, bringing tangible benefits to both peoples and contributing to regional and global peace, stability and cooperation.
For his part, Bounleua Phandanouvong, Head of the External Relations Commission of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, thanked the Vietnamese delegation for their warm congratulations and said that Laos’ achievements have consistently been supported by Vietnam’s timely and effective assistance.
He underscored that the “great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation” between the two countries founded by presidents Ho Chi Minh, Kaysone Phomvihane and Souphanouvong has been nurtured by generations of leaders and continues to yield meaningful outcomes.
Both sides also discussed recent developments in bilateral cooperation and voiced their commitment to closely coordinate in effectively implementing agreements reached by senior leaders of the two Parties and States, as well as intergovernmental cooperation plans.
