With Christmas just three weeks away, the festive spirit is already visible at Notre Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City, where a display of brightly coloured lights has transformed the iconic landmark.

The Notre Dame Cathedral in Sai Gon ward has been has been adorned with golden strings of lights for the Christmas season.

This marks the third consecutive year that Notre Dame Cathedral has been illuminated for Christmas since its 2017 restoration. The LED lighting system has been fully installed and operational for the past four days, lighting up each evening from 6:45 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The centrepiece of this year’s Christmas display is the use of up to 1,000 km of LED lights - double last year’s amount - making Notre Dame Cathedral shine brilliantly.

Every evening, thousands of locals and tourists visit the cathedral to enjoy the early festive atmosphere. Everyone takes the opportunity to capture memorable moments next to the iconic architectural work in the city.
