Miss Charm’ foreign beauties explore Vietnamese culture in Mekong Delta

The Miss Charm 2025 beauty pageant begins on November 29 with a sash presentation ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City. Thirty-six contestants from around the world then participate in a series of activities in the Mekong Delta region to explore the local culture.

The international contestants immerse themselves in rural life, spending time in rustic gardens and wearing “áo bà ba,” the traditional casual attire of southern Vietnam, which has long symbolised the grace and gentleness of Vietnamese women.

The contestants have the opportunity to visit the cultural houses of four ethnic groups.

They also enjoy local specialties, including special cakes and tea during their trip to the Mekong Delta region for the first time.

The third edition of Miss Charm takes place from November 27 to December 13. Founded and organised by a Vietnamese national in 2023, the contest evaluates contestants on intelligence, talent, beauty, and confidence.

Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, president of Miss Charm, says the pageant is designed to promote culture, tourism, and education globally. This year’s theme is inspired by cultural heritage, highlighting the role of culture in connecting young generations in modern life.

The Miss Charm 2025 edition also raises the age limit for contestants, allowing participants aged 18 to 35, instead of the previous cap of 28.

Mai Ngo, fourth runner-up at Miss Grand Vietnam 2022, represents Vietnam at Miss Charm 2025. She brings extensive pageant experience, including reaching the Top 18 of Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2013 and winning runner-up titles in The Face Vietnam 2016 and The New Mentor.
