Vitality of Vietnamese Goods programme promotes safe food consumption
VOV.VN - The fourth edition of the “Vitality of Vietnamese Goods” programme opened in Hanoi on April 3, aiming to promote safe food consumption, strengthen supply–demand connections, and expand domestic distribution channels.
The three-day event is part of activities marking Vietnam’s Food Safety Action Month organised by the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, in coordination with partners such as TikTok Shop and the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam.
The programme adopts an omnichannel approach, combining in-person exhibitions and sales with livestreaming on digital platforms to enhance market access and modernise distribution. The model is expected to help local businesses improve competitiveness while aligning with evolving consumer trends.
Featured products include traceable, region-specific foods such as bird’s nest from Khanh Hoa, macadamia nuts from Lai Chau, and herbal tea made from gynostemma. These products cater to growing demand for safe and transparent food.
The exhibition space attracted large crowds of residents and tourists on the opening day, with visitors able to learn about product origins and production processes directly from suppliers, helping to build trust in Vietnamese goods.
A key highlight of the programme is the fourth “Vitality of Vietnamese Goods” livestream, scheduled for the evening of April 3 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the TikTok channel of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development.
The session allows businesses to showcase products, offer promotions, and interact directly with consumers in real time.
With its hybrid format, the programme continues to demonstrate an effective model for promoting domestic consumption and raising awareness of safe food use. It is part of a broader 2026 initiative to support Vietnamese enterprises, expand distribution networks, and advance the “Vietnamese people prioritise using Vietnamese goods” campaign.
