Domestic fuel prices rise in latest price adjustment review
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance announced the latest fuel price adjustment on September 18, with all petrol and oil products increasing compared to the previous review.

The retail price of petrol E5RON92 is capped at VND19,986 per liter, up VND230 per liter from the current base price, while petrol RON95 is set at VND20,608 per liter, an increase of VND208.
Diesel is capped at VND18,705 per liter (up VND62), kerosene at VND18,544 per liter (up VND176), and mazut at VND15,130 per kilogram (up VND40).
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, global oil prices during the review period from September 11 to 17 were influenced by several factors, including the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate cut, declining US crude oil inventories alongside rising distillate stocks, and Ukraine’s increased attacks on Russian oil refineries and ports. These developments caused world fuel prices to fluctuate differently across products.
Taking into account global price movements, fluctuations in the VND/USD exchange rate, and current regulations, the ministries decided on the above adjustment to ensure domestic prices reflect global trends. The price management plan also continues to maintain a reasonable difference between biofuel E5RON92 and mineral RON95, in line with the Government’s policy to encourage the use of biofuels.
