VOV.VN - President Tran Dai Quang extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to locals and soldiers in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai during his working trip on February 1.

A grand ceremony was held at the Thong Nhat (Reunification) Palace, Ho Chi Minh City on January 31 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the General Tet Offensive in the spring of 1968.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong burnt incense in tribute to late Party, State and Government leaders in their own houses on January 30-31 on the occasion of the 88th founding anniversary of the CPV and the Lunar New Year festival. 

President Tran Dai Quang praised the role played by the coast guard force in protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands during a pre-Tet visit to the Coast Guard Zone 3 High Command in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on January 30.  

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu to promote green development based on fishing, aquaculture and seafood processing, with a focus on high-tech shrimp farming.
