Vietnamese thriller set for screening in foreign countries

VOV.VN - Local film “Quy nhap trang” (“The Corpse”), a thriller based on a real story and directed by Pom Nguyen, will be screened in several foreign markets before debuting in Vietnam, according to local film producer Nhat Trung.

The horror movie will be introduced to international audience in four countries, including the United States, Taiwan (China), Australia, and the Republic of Korea on February 18, February 21, February 23, and February 26, respectively.

It will then be screened in Vietnamese cinemas from March 7.

The film tells the story of a couple who unleash a terrifying chain of events based around a cursed silver bracelet and a vengeful spirit after unearthing an ancient tomb on their land.

Most notably, traditional Vietnamese funeral customs are also featured in the movie, blending cultural significance with modern storytelling.

Vietnamese thriller honoured at New York Film Festival

VOV.VN - A local horror film named "Người lắng nghe: Lời thì thầm" (Listeners-The Whispering), won the Best Feature Micro-Budget Under US$250,000 award at a virtual ceremony held on July 12 at the 2021 International New York Film Festival.
