Vietnamese singer Phuong My Chi finishes third overall at Sing! Asia 2025
VOV.VN - Vietnamese singer Phuong My Chi has placed third overall at Sing! Asia 2025, a regional singing competition featuring young vocal talents from across Asia, during the grand finale held in the Macau Special Administrative Region (China).

The final night brought together the top 4 outstanding Gen Z artists. The ultimate winner was Japan’s Miyuna, followed by runner-up Chu Phi Ca from China. Vietnam’s Phuong My Chi claimed third place, while China’s Ke Lou came in fourth.
In the grand finale broadcast at 10:00 a.m. (China time) on July 27 on the Chinese platform iQiyi, the four contestants competed in three knockout rounds.
In the first round, the four contestants were paired up to perform duets with guest artists, with three advancing to the next stage. In the subsequent solo performance round, the remaining three competed head-to-head to determine the two most outstanding performers who would move on to the final round.
The Vietnamese singer captivated audiences with her powerful vocals and left a lasting impression by showcasing the rich cultural identity of Vietnam, bringing the soulful sounds of her homeland to the international stage.
One of her standout performances was a modern and vibrant rendition of the hit song “Lạc Trôi” by Son Tung M-TP, delivered in collaboration with Chinese singer Huang Ling. The duet created a dynamic, cross-cultural musical experience.
Her second performance was a heartfelt solo of “Chopsticks”, accompanied by 30 children. The song, composed by Chi and her team, celebrated the unity of Asian youth and served as a tribute to the show that allowed her to grow and shine regionally.
Judges praised Chi’s impressive development throughout the competition—from the early stages to the finale—highlighting her commanding stage presence and noting that she embodies all the traits of a future star.
In the final results, Chi scored 406.8 points, placing third. The runner-up was Chu Phi Ca (China) with 407.6 points, while the winner of the first season of Sing! Asia was Miyuna (Japan), who earned a total of 411 points.
Sing! Asia 2025, the first of its kind in Asia, featured 32 young singers from 9 Asian countries and territories, including China, Japan, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and Taiwan (China).
All contestants began their journey aboard a five-star cruise ship, traveling through destinations such as Shanghai (China) – Japan – Vietnam – Singapore – Malaysia – Hong Kong (China), before entering the semifinal round in Shanghai and the grand finale in Macau.
