My Chi reaches final of Sing! Asia 2025 after defeating Chinese rival
VOV.VN - Vietnamese singer Phuong My Chi has advanced to the final of Sing! Asia 2025, a regional talent show spotlighting emerging vocalists from across Asia, after defeating a strong contestant from China.
In the semi-final, Chi chose to compete against a contestant from China. Donning a modern pink outfit paired with a bamboo basket inspired by the Vietnamese fairy tale character Tấm, she delivered a standout performance of Vu Tru Co Anh (The Universe Has You), a song blending ca tru, EDM, and symphonic music.
Her performance earned two out of three votes from celebrity judges Zhang Liangying and Alec Su, along with 15 votes from the online panel, securing a 17–7 victory.
Chi will join three other finalists in the competition’s grand finale, set for July 25 in China.
