Vietnamese chefs bring home 15 medals at Culinaire Malaysia
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese national chef team has won one gold, six silver and eight bronze medals, along with an individual cup, at Culinaire Malaysia, one of Southeast Asia’s leading biennial culinary competitions.

With the gold medal and an individual award for chef Trinh Tuan Dung in the pizza category, Vietnam has qualified for the Global Chefs Finals at the 2026 Worldchefs Congress & Expo in Wales.
The team also claimed three silver and four bronze medals in the Global Chef category, and three silver and four bronze medals in the Food & Hospitality Malaysia (FHM) category.
“These prizes show that Vietnamese cuisine is increasingly favored by diners at home and abroad,” said Tran Thi Hien Minh, Vice President of the Saigon Professional Chefs Association.
Since its launch in 1993, Culinaire Malaysia has grown into one of the region’s premier culinary contests. This year’s 17th edition, held from September 23 to 26 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, brought together over 1,000 participants and more than 100 culinary professionals worldwide for four days of competition and creativity.
