Vietnamese animated films to be introduced at Annecy Film Festival 2025

VOV.VN - For the first time Vietnam will bring its animated films to the Annecy International Film Festival 2025 due to take place in France this June.

The introduction is part of a cooperation programme between the French Embassy in Vietnam and the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to popularise “Make-in-Vietnam” animated films globally.

At Annecy 2025, Vietnam will open a booth to display a range of outstanding domestic animated products and hold exchanges with international film studios, thereby expanding opportunities for Vietnamese producers to integrate closer into the world.

Sconect Group will play an important role in bringing Vietnamese animated products to the world at the festival. This is also the unit in charge of screening Vietnamese films such as "Wolfoo và hòn đảo kỳ bí" (Wolfoo: The Mysterious Island) and "Wolfoo và cuộc đua tam giới" (Wolfoo and the racing realms) at cinemas.

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival was established in 1960 in the town of Annecy, France, and has been held annually since 1998.

It is one of four international animation film festivals sponsored by the Association Internationale du Film d'Animation (ASIFA), gathering leading animators and receiving great attention from the international public.
