Thien Son wins first runner-up spot at Mister Grand International 2018

VOV.VN - Ly Cao Thien Son, the Vietnamese representative at Mister Grand International 2018, was recently awarded the first runner-up spot in the grand finale of the male pageant in Yangon, Myanmar.

Vietnamese model Thien Son beat 30 other strong contenders to the first runner-up spot at the Mister Grand International 2018 male pageant on December 7. He also won in the Mister Sport Wear sub-category. |

Son said the award marked a positive memory in his youth and serves as a milestone in his career. He went on to say he hoped that he would continue to receive love and support from his fans in the future. |

During the grand finale contestants competed in the sportswear and Myanmar traditional outfit segments. Previously they had taken a week to partake in charitable activities and photoshoots. The judges and other contestants were left with a good impression about Thien Son, particularly for his dynamism and friendliness. |

The top 5 finalists included representatives from Dominican Republic, Vietnam, France, Venezuela and Japan. Following the grand finale, they will spend 5 additional days in Myanmar for meetings with the media and photoshoots to advertise Mister Grand International 2019. |

Thien Son is a familiar face among Vietnamese models. He often models during well-known events including Vietnam Designer Fashion Week, Vietnam International Fashion Week, and Elle Fashion Show. Son first rose to prominence after winning the first runner-up spot back in Viet Fashion Icon 2012. He then went on to compete at Mister Asian International 2018 in Thailand and was awarded the first runner-up spot in the national costume segment. |
