VOV.VN - The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) held a special art programme themed “Wholehearted Trust and Love for the Party” at Ho Guom Opera House in Hanoi on January 5 in the lead up to the 14th National Party Congress.
In his opening speech, VOV President Do Tien Sy emphasised that the 14th National Party Congress is an important political event, marking the opening of a new era of development toward a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized and happy Vietnam, firmly advancing on the path to socialism.
The art programme aims to honour the historical traditions of the nation, connect cultural values, while contributing to affirming the people's trust and love for the Party, conveying a message that under any circumstances, people always cherish their love for their homeland, trust in the Party, and remember President Ho Chi Minh, he noted.
The VOV leader confirmed that the event helped to strengthen the confidence, arouse the spirit of solidarity, responsibility among all social strata of the people to contribute to national development in the new era, and the aspiration to successfully achieve the national development goals set forth in the Congress resolution.
Famous singers presented folk songs such as “Inh lả ơi” (Oh Inh La) and “Cò lả” (Graceful Stork). Besides the programme featured traditional melodies “Đảng là cuộc sống của tôi” (The Party is my life) and "Lá cờ Đảng" (The Flag of the Party) conveying love for the homeland, trust in the Party, and the aspiration to build a strong, civilized and prosperous nation.
In particular, selected works from a song writing contest with new lyrics and a poetry writing competition organised by VOV had been performed for the first time at the Ho Guom Opera House. Such songs as “Việt Nam – Kỷ nguyên vươn mình” (Vietnam-New rising era) and “Tình yêu đất nước” "Love for the Country” left deep impression on the audiences.
