Painting competition on beauty of Vietnamese heritage launched
VOV.VN - "The Vivid Legacy of Vietnam" painting competition has been launched worldwide, with the aim of contributing to spreading the beauty of Vietnamese heritage to global audience.
The competition is open to all people from across the world. Entries can take inspiration from world’s tangible and intangible cultural heritages in Vietnam such as phở (noodles), Ha Long Bay, Hue royal court music, Dong Ho paintings, and water puppetry.
According to the organisers, the contest is not only an opportunity for young people to showcase their talent, but also a journey to discover Vietnamese historical and cultural values.
Competitors, regardless of nationality, will vie for titles in the U12 and U17 categories. They can send their entries from February 20 to April 20, and the results will be announced in early June.
A total of 20 prizes with each age group including one first prize, three second prizes, and six third prizes, will be awarded.
All wining works will be exhibited from July 8 to 13 at the A2Z Paris Art Gallery in France. The judging panel will also select 100 paintings for exhibitions in Paris, Nantes, and Lorient in France between June 21 to July 6.
From early June, any entry meeting the organisers' criteria will be displayed virtually at www.toucherarts.com.
The painting competition is being organised by the Toucher Arts 2025 project founded by the ART SPACE Association, in collaboration with A2Z Paris Art Gallery and the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France.
