Legendary boyband 911 to perform at UK Festivals in Vietnam
VOV.VN - British band 911 are set to play at a series of UK Festivals which are scheduled to take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City this September.
911 are an English pop boyband consisting of members Lee Brennan, Jimmy Constable, and Spike Dawbarn. Formed in Glasgow in 1995, the band released their debut single "Night to Remember" in May, 1996. One year later, their album The Journey was certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
911 then went on to release two more Silver-certified albums, Moving On and There It Is, in 1998 and 1999, respectively. In addition, the hit song “There It Is” also made up their only UK number-one single, a cover of "A Little Bit More", which topped the UK Singles Chart in January, 1999.
In their five years together, 911 recorded 10 UK top 10 singles, selling 10 million singles and six million albums around the world. They were hugely popular in Southeast Asia, where their first two albums went to number one.
Last year the boyband travelled to Vietnam for their first performance during the HAY Glamping Music Festival 2022.
Showcasing their many hit songs including "I Do", "The Day We Found Love", and "All I Want is you", the famous boyband 911 are expected to steal the show at the UK Festivals on their return to Vietnam.
The UK Festivals, part of activities to mark 50 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the UK this year, are set to get underway at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in Hanoi on September 9 – 10, and at Le Loi Street in Ho Chi Minh City on September 16.
Free entrance is available for the public.
