In addition to their presence, the action movie marking their latest collaboration, Twilight Of The Warriors: Walled In directed by Soi Cheang, has been selected as the opening film at the Hong Kong Film Gala in Vietnam. The Vietnam edition of the Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation centered around the theme “Together We Dare to Be Powerful” will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 6 to 8. The programme includes the opening ceremony and four film screenings, aiming to immerse Vietnamese audiences in the unique and vibrant world of Hong Kong cinema.

Josie Lin, executive director of the Asian Film Awards Academy that oganises the event, expressed her admiration for Vietnam’s fast-growing film market. She noted how the country’s young, energetic, and passionate audiences have made a strong impression on international industry professionals.

Bringing the Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation to Vietnam for the first time is more than just a regional event, it’s a meaningful cultural milestone, Josie said.
