Quoc Truong becomes ambassador for Hollywood horror film in Vietnam
VOV.VN - Vietnamese actor Quoc Truong has been named the official ambassador for the American supernatural horror film Black Phone 2 in Vietnam, announced by Universal Pictures and its local distributor.

This marks a milestone, as Black Phone 2 is the first Hollywood film to appoint an official ambassador specifically for the Vietnamese market, reflecting the increasing importance of Vietnamese audiences on the global cinematic map.
Worldwide and especially across Asia, inviting celebrities to serve as film ambassadors has become a familiar trend, amplifying the reach and impact of promotional campaigns.
In Vietnam, many film projects, ranging from animation and action to drama, have also enlisted local artists for their communication campaigns, generating strong buzz and positive engagement across social media and the press.
Born in Can Tho, a city in the Mekong Delta, 37-year-old Truong faced early hardships, working as a lottery ticket seller and construction worker to support his family. He made his acting debut in 2009 and has since become a well-known figure, particularly recognised for his roles in horror films like Đôi Mắt Âm Dương (Yin Yang Eyes) and Út Lan.
