Happy Tet contest celebrates a peaceful and heartwarming Vietnam
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just launched a nationwide photo and video contest titled “Happy Tet” as part of the broader “Happy Vietnam” programme to showcase a peaceful, warm and humane Vietnam.
The contest aims to capture and spread meaningful Lunar New Year (Tet) moments, reflecting the cultural and spiritual life of Vietnamese people celebrating Tet at home and abroad, as well as foreigners living and working in Vietnam.
The organisers said the competition seeks to honour the traditional cultural values of Vietnam’s Lunar New Year, from the festive atmosphere and customary practices to everyday life and family reunions marking the start of a new year.
Through photo and video submissions, the contest is expected to help promote an image of Vietnam as a peaceful and warm country where cultural traditions and shared happiness are preserved and celebrated.
The competition is being held online via the digital platform https://happy.vietnam.vn and features two categories: Photo and Video. It is open to Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and above, regardless of gender, profession or place of residence.
Entries will be published and subject to public voting on the platform in accordance with the rules set by the organisers.
Winners will be determined based on the outreach and engagement levels of each entry, including the number of likes and shares, ensuring transparency and fairness under the established regulations.
Outstanding works will be awarded, honoured and used in communication activities to promote Vietnam’s cultural values, people and national image within the framework of the “Happy Vietnam” programme.
The submission period runs from February 10 to March 10, 2026, with results and awards scheduled to be announced in the second quarter of the year.
