Hanoi to host 121 film screenings on National Day celebration
VOV.VN - A dozen of feature films are being introduced to audiences through 121 free screenings throughout August and September as part of celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

The programme features 80 mobile screenings for people in wards and communes; workers in industrial parks and export processing zones; students in schools; and inmates at reform and education centres.
There are also 40 screenings at Kim Dong Cinema (19 Hang Bai street) and September 2 Cinema (9 Le Lai street) on the evenings of Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from August 1 to September 15.
Furthermore, the Hanoi Centre for Culture and Library organised a film screening combined with an art performance at the outdoor stage of the Phu Dien ward culture, information and sports centre on August 22.
Highlights films include Sao Tháng Tám (August Star), Cánh Đồng Hoang (Wild Field), Hà Nội Mùa Đông Năm 46 (Hà Nội Winter 1946), Ngã Ba Đồng Lộc (Đồng Lộc T-junction), Hà Nội 12 Ngày Đêm (Hà Nội 12 Days and Nights), and Đào, phở và piano (Peach Blossoms, Phở and Piano).
The programme aims to bring to audiences in the capital a selection of feature films, documentaries, and animated works rich in historical and artistic value, recreating the heroic atmosphere of the historic autumn days, and fostering national pride, patriotism, and the spirit of self-reliance.
