Another major national concert to mark 80th anniversary of National Day
VOV.VN - A total of 500 celebrated Vietnamese artists will gather for a special concert themed “Tự hào là người Việt Nam” (Proud to Be Vietnamese) at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on August 17 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
Organised by the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee, and Vietnam Television, the event will be broadcast live on VTV1 and several digital platforms.
The stage design takes inspiration from the legend of Lang Lieu, combining imagery of heaven and earth to create an artistic space that is both intimate and solemn.
According to director Nguyen Trung Dung, the concert will be divided into three parts, offering an emotional journey that links the nation’s heroic past with aspirations for the present and future.
The line-up will feature renowned performers such as Tung Duong, Hoa Minzy, Duong Hoang Yen, the Bức Tường (Wall) rock band, Oplus band, and the Dynamic choir.
The event is expected to draw an audience of 30,000, with organisers hoping it will become a sacred moment that unites millions of Vietnamese people through music, pride, and patriotism.
