Hanoi girl crowned Miss Vietnam Tourism 2026
VOV.VN - Nguyen Phuong Linh, a 23-year-old contestant from Hanoi, was crowned Miss Vietnam Tourism 2026 at a grand finale held in the northern mountain resort of Sa Pa of January 10.
The outdoor finale, staged against the backdrop of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, concluded with Tran My Lan taking first runner-up and Nguyen Huy Ngoc Bao Tran named second runner-up.
Born in 2002, Linh stands 1.71 metres tall and holds a degree in marketing from Vietnam National University, Hanoi. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at National Economics University.
Throughout the competition, Linh drew attention for her composed stage presence and emphasis on cultural understanding rather than visual performance alone.
In the final question-and-answer round, she delivered a bilingual response in Vietnamese and English, highlighting Vietnam’s natural landscapes alongside what she described as the warmth, resilience and hospitality of Vietnamese people, particularly women, as key elements attracting international visitors.
If Vietnamese women shine, Vietnam will shine, she said.
Linh previously placed in the top 10 of the tourism category at Miss World Vietnam 2023. She said the Miss Vietnam Tourism competition offered an opportunity to deepen her understanding of local cultures and promote responsible tourism.
For me, beauty is only the starting point. Knowledge, long-term vision and social responsibility are what allow young people to go further, she said.
The Miss Vietnam Tourism 2026 final featured performances by leading Vietnamese singers and opened with a large-scale drum performance celebrating the country’s cultural heritage. Contestants competed in Áo dài (traditional long dress), swimwear and evening gown segments before judges selected the top five finalists.
The Miss Vietnam Tourism pageant, first held in 2008 and revived in 2022, is organised every two years with the aim of selecting cultural ambassadors to promote Vietnam’s tourism and image internationally.
