Nguyen Phuong Thanh crowned Miss Vietnam Peace Student 2025

VOV.VN - Nguyen Phuong Thanh, a student from Dai Nam University, was crowned the winner of the first Miss Vietnam Peace Student 2025 pageant during the finale held in Da Nang city on December 28.

Thanh surpassed 32 other contestants from other institutions nationwide after a series of competitions including group performances, ao dai and evening gown showcases.

She received prizes worth VND2 billion (approximately US$80,000), including VND500 million in cash, a crown, overseas study scholarships and other gifts.

The first runner-up title went to Nguyen Ngoc Anh from the University of Economics, Vietnam National University–Hanoi, while Nguyen Thi Kim Chau from Van Hien University was named second runner-up. The third and fourth runner-up titles were awarded to Mai Ngoc Anh Thu (FPT University Da Nang) and Tran Thu Huyen (Dong An High-Tech College).

Several subsidiary awards were also presented, including Miss Friendly, Best Traditional Costume, Miss Photogenic, Miss Style, and Audience’s Favourite. Three student ambassador titles were awarded for innovation and entrepreneurship, talent, and compassion.

In the Q&A round, finalists were given 30 seconds to prepare and 60 seconds to respond. Asked about the cultural values Vietnamese students should preserve in an international environment, Phuong Thanh emphasised the importance of understanding one’s roots and carrying forward the spirit of solidarity to promote peace in a globalised world.

According to the organisers, the pageant, the first of its kind, themed “Vietnamese Students Continue the Story of Peace,” aims to honour students who embody beauty, intellect, confidence and compassion.

Born in 2005 in Phu Tho Province, Nguyen Phuong Thanh is 1.68 meters tall and currently a third-year student majoring in Chinese language at Dai Nam University in Hanoi.
