The annual event, organized by the diplomatic corps in Copenhagen in coordination with city authorities,  draw dozens of booths from countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas to showcase cultural identity, cuisine, tourism and traditional products.

The Vietnamese Embassy identified cultural diplomacy as a priority for 2026 and actively took part in organizing the event. Vietnam’s booth attracted a large number of visitors, members of the international community and representatives of diplomatic missions.

At the event, the Vietnamese side introduced a variety of products showing the country’s traditional culture, including conical hat wind chimes, handcrafted lotus flowers, bamboo dragonflies, Dong Ho folk paintings, brocade scarves, ceramics and other handicrafts.

Vietnamese food and beverages such as banh mi, cha com (young green rice pork patties), pho noodle soup, glass noodle dishes, tea and Vietnamese coffee also attracted attention from visitors.

The program also featured videos promoting Vietnam’s culture and tourism, along with traditional performances by participating countries, helping create a lively setting for cultural exchange between diplomatic missions and local residents.

Organizers said all proceeds from the bazaar will support charitable activities for Kalaallit Meerartaat/Grønlandske Børn (Greenlandic Children), a non-profit organization operating in Greenland and Denmark that supports children and young people through community and educational programs.

The Diplomatic Bazaar is among activities marking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Denmark (1971-2026).

In 2026, the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark will continue organizing cultural and artistic exchange programs and activities promoting Vietnam’s image, including events introducing Vietnamese culture and cuisine, ASEAN Day in Denmark and traditional art performances marking Vietnam’s National Day. The activities help strengthen people-to-people exchanges and friendship between the two countries’ people.
