Art project launched to celebrate 50 years of Vietnam-Germany diplomacy
VOV.VN - The German Embassy in Vietnam has launched a unique art project to transform its outer wall into an open-air canvas, marking the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic ties established on September 23, 1975.
The project aims to foster cultural exchange and showcase the vibrant artistic talent of young Vietnamese artists.
The artworks shall exemplify the diverse perspectives and views on the multifaceted dimension of relations between Germany and Vietnam, according to the German Embassy in Vietnam.
Interested artists are encouraged to submit a short personal introduction, a rough sketch of their proposed artwork, and a list of required art materials for its production on the canvas.
Applications must be sent via email to kultbot@gmail.com before March 10.
Participants will take part in a competition on April 11 at the German Embassy at 27 Tran Phu street in Ba Dinh district of Hanoi.
The event aims to provide artists with the opportunity to finalise the art project on-site and connect with representatives of the Contemporary Arts Centre, Vietnam Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS) and staff of the German Embassy during a buffet lunch.
Following the function, all artworks will be exhibited for three months along the outer wall of the German Embassy and then showcased on the anniversary website where they will be made available for purchase.
