75 years of Vietnam-Czech Republic ties celebrated with special artistic performance

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic, in coordination with Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, held a special cultural and artistic programme in Prague to mark the 75th anniversary of both nations' diplomatic relations.

In his opening remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam emphasized that 2025 marks a new historic milestone in bilateral relations as the two countries celebrate 75 years of diplomatic ties. Notably, earlier this year, the relationship was elevated to a Strategic Partnership during the official visit to the Czech Republic by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The Ambassador expressed his belief that the strong and sustainable Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the Czech Republic will continue to thrive and achieve even greater results.

He also highlighted the important role of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, which now numbers over 100,000, noting that the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Czech Republic has played a key role in linking the two nations and organizing many activities in support of the homeland.

Attending the event, Czech Deputy Minister of Culture David Kaspar expressed his pleasure to join the celebration, saying that the past 75 years have been a long journey that forged a close bond between the two peoples-one that has grown into a traditional friendship based on mutual respect, cooperation, and understanding.

He affirmed that the bilateral relationship rests on a deep foundation, not only in diplomacy and economics, but also in people-to-people cultural ties. He further stressed that the Vietnamese community is an inseparable part of Czech society, contributing to the richness and diversity of the country’s culture and arts, and leaving a distinct mark on daily life in the Czech Republic. He voiced his belief that cultural exchanges, joint projects, and artistic cooperation would continue to grow, helping to build even stronger bridges between the two nations.

Alongside the performance, a series of exhibitions and tourism promotion activities under the framework of the Vietnam Cultural and Tourism Days in the Czech Republic offered audiences a memorable artistic experience, helping to further strengthen the ties between the peoples of the two countries and open up new opportunities for cooperation in culture, the arts, and tourism.
