At the event which is expected to draw over 500 delegates, the province plans to grant investment licences and documents on investment cooperation to 66 projects with total capital of 162.25 trillion VND (about 7.05 billion USD).
The projects are mainly in tourism-resort, industry, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
Dinh Huu Thanh, Director of the provincial Department of Planning and Investment said that the conference aims to introduce the investment potential and opportunities in the province. This is also a chance for investors to meet and make dialogue with local authorities, seeking new cooperation opportunities and sketching out orientations and solutions to effectively exploit the potential and strengths of Quang Binh.
According to Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Tien Dung, the conference is of significant importance to the locality. He stressed that local authorities will exert every efforts to accompany with and create optimal conditions for investors to operate effective and sustainable business in the province.
The province also hopes to continue receiving support from media agencies to promote the province’s activities.
Earlier, Quang Binh held a number of sideline activities such as investment promotion conferences in the Philippines and Singapore, and a meeting with promising investors in Hanoi.
