The event themed ‘The Message of the Paintings’ introduced 70 contemporary paintings to viewers, each one containing a message inspiring people to have aspirations to achieve happiness and peace in life.
The abstract artworks on display have been drawn using materials such as oil, digital printing, synthetic material, and acrylic paint on plywood, all of which serve to provide visitors with a range of aesthetic emotions when considering life.
In particular, many of the pieces have been drawn by the Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam Ory Csaba’s wife and daughter.
Duong Tan Hien, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee, said the exhibition serves as part of a range of activities within the framework of Hungarian Cultural Week in Can Tho, with the aim of celebrating the 70th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The exhibition running until November 24 will help residents in Can Tho gain a better understanding of Hungary's culture and people.
