A spokesperson for the Indonesian National Police, said Bahrain Agam was arrested on November 26 in Blang Tarakan village in the northernmost province of Aceh for providing 7 million rupiah (US$520), planning to make a bomb and purchasing explosive materials.

Saiful Bahri was arrested on November 27 in Baros village in Jakarta’s neighbouring province of Banten for helping Rio Priatana Wibana build a bomb-making lab and planning attacks, the spokesperson added.

Previously, Rio was arrested on November 23 by the anti-terror squad at his house in Majalengka district in West Java province with a large amount of explosives.

He was accused of providing bombs to be used in attacks on foreign embassies, including the Myanmar embassy, the parliament building, the national police headquarters, television stations, cafes and religious places, said the spokesperson.

According to police, the militants had enough explosives to make bombs two times as powerful than those used in the 2002 bombing in Bali that killed 202 people.
