According to statistics released by the two carriers, during 2018 through to the first nine months of the year, the number of travelers using the Vietnam Airlines and Air France (AF) joint venture's flights reached approximately 625,000 passengers, with the figure expected to hit over 711,000 customers by the end of this year.
Since coming into operation in November 2017, the Vietnam Airlines – AF joint venture has offered a number of benefits to both passengers and partners by improving services and enhancing links apart from a consistent flight schedule that has regular flights departing from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Paris.
Flights conducted under the joint venture have continued to benefit from a range of SkyTeam alliance services such as Skypriority, worldwide business lounges, and incentive programs for AF’s Flying Blue customers, along with LotuSmiles passengers of Vietnam Airlines.
Furthermore, these increased flights have also contributed to boosting economic, tourism, and cultural ties between the two countries.
Both carriers have also shared experience in flight management and policy development to increase the operational efficiency and to seek new customer bases throughout Vietnam, Asia, France, and Europe.
In the coming year, Vietnam Airlines and AF are expected to continue to co-ordinate in such areas as flight schedules, services, and trade promotion activities in a bid to further improve service quality and operational efficiency.
