Trang came away with three gold medals in the women’s 45kg with results of 66 kg and 75kg in the jerk and clean, raising her total lift to 141kg.
Earlier in the competition, Bui Dinh Sang had dominated the men’s 61kg category with one gold medal in the jerk (113kg), one bronze medal in the total lift (243kg), and was ranked fifth in the clean (130kg).
In the men’s 49kg, Do Tu Tung won three gold medals in the jerk (95kg), clean (125kg), and total lift (220kg).
So far, the Vietnamese delegation at the event has obtained seven golds and one bronze medal at the tournament.
The IWF Youth World Championships are set to run until March 15.
