Before the start of the event, there are activities to promote conservation of nature and local cultures, such as building check dams to retain water in the forest and serve as firebreaks, a performance on the way of life of Thai Song Dam ethnic group, a retro market with a lot of food and local products and a light and sound show on the history of the Nine-Army War, which took place in the early Rattanakosin era.
The public can attend the activities free of charge.
The Siam Trail will be held on the morning of December 15, 2019 over six distances of 3, 5, 13, 17, 36 and 52 kilometers. Every path will allow runners to experience the beauty of nature in the footsteps of those fighting the Nine-Army War in 1785, during the reign of King Rama I.
