In the last AFC Cup 2019 qualifier fixture Hanoi FC trounced Cambodia’s Naga World FC 5-1 to progress to the knock-out stages of the competition. The team, coached by Chu Dinh Nghiem, has currently won 10 points from five matches, winning three, drawing one, and losing one. The Vietnamese club will face Tampines Rovers in the next round.
Despite not scoring a goal during the match against Naga World, midfielder Quang Hai put on an impressive performance. His dominance in midfield allowed Hanoi FC to control the game and score five goals.
The Fox Sport Asia website has named Hai as one of the best players of the tournament’s fifth round of fixtures.
