Coronavirus cases number 207, three new patients recorded

VOV.VN - An additional three new cases contracted the novel coronavirus were reported by the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Hanoi and the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City on March 31 afternoon, including one being an employee of Truong Sinh Co. Ltd, and two relating to patient No 124.

Case No 205 is a 41-year-old male patient working for Truong Sinh Co. Ltd., which provides catering services to Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi.

Case No 206, is a 48-year-old male patient of Vietnamese nationality, lives in An Phu ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. The patient is a private driver of patient No 124 and patient No 151.

He was transferred for isolation and treatment at Cu Chi field hospital and is currently in good health with no indications of a cough,a fever, and shortness of breath.

Case No 207, is a male Brazilian citizen, 49, resides in Thao Dien ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. The patient is the husband of patient No 151 and the colleague of Case No 124.  His first test result was negative on March 22 and subsequently confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 by HCM City-based Pasteur Institute on March 28.

Currently the patient has moved to Cu Chi field hospital and his health condition remains stable with no signs of a cough, a fever, and shortness of breath.

The three new cases have pushed Vietnam's total coronavirus cases to 207 so far, of which 58 have made a full recovery and left hospital.
