Students from int’l defence officer class visits HCM City

VOV.VN - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem on October 27 received students from an international defence officer class of the Academy of Defence of Vietnam.

He highlighted their visit to the city as a contribution to strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation, especially in defence and security between Vietnam and countries in the Asian-Pacific region and in the world.

HCM City is taking the lead among localities nationwide in carrying out external affairs programmes to deepen mutual understanding and reinforce solidarity among nations towards the building of a peaceful and prosperous world.

Lieutenant General Phan Anh Viet, Deputy Director of the Academy of Defence, said 22 students from 14 countries of the fourth international defence officer class, had visited the History Museum and the historical relic site of Cu Chi tunnels in HCM City to gain a better understanding about the culture and people of Vietnam.
