During a reception for Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Robyn Mudie on January 14, Nhan highlighted the fruitful
development of the multifaceted relations between the two countries in recent times.
He affirmed that HCM City always creates favourable conditions for Australian enterprises to invest in Vietnam in fields such as hi-tech agriculture, urban transport infrastructure, university education, vocational training, information technology, human resources development and culture.
The city is promoting programmes to improve the quality of human resources, he said, adding that it expects to become a strategic partner of Australia in education and innovation.
The HCM City leader said he hopes Victoria State in Australia will take part in investment and technology transfer, and share its experience with HCM City in urban planning, public transport, environmental improvement, innovation and startups.
Nhan expressed his belief that relations between Australia and Vietnam in general and HCM City in particular will further thrive in the time to come.
He took the occasion to share his concerns about Australia's losses from the unprecedented wildfires that are sweeping the country, saying that it is also a lesson for HCM City in forest fire prevention.
For her part, Mudie said she will do her utmost to boost the flourishing relations between the two nations.
The Australian Government and businesses are interested in learning about, cooperating and sharing experience with HCM City – the southern economic hub of Vietnam, she said.
